Mobile Application Developer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Mobile Applications Developer in San Francisco, CA. You will be responsible for the Android platform for Shopping Scout, a start-up disrupting the retail shopping space. This includes detailed software spec/design, test-driven development, agile methodologies, integrating with back end services and coordinating QA, testing and rollout.
This is a full time position reporting to the Director of Mobile Development. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a fast paced start-up run by Founders with a proven track record. We are located in somewhat sunny downtown San Francisco.
You should have experience with Android app development using Java and Eclipse and preferably have at least one application approved and in the Android Marketplace. iPhone development is a plus!
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Android app development experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience with Java and Eclipse
- Experience with XML, Web Services, JSON, SOAP
- Experience parsing JSON and persisting to data model
- 2 to 5 years of professional software development experience
- Experience with web enabled application development, client or server development
- Experience with the automated build process, unit testing, source code analysis tools
- Experience with agile software development
- Sense of humor and ability to work well with team members is critical
- Ability to produce high quality specification and design documents
Additional Qualifications
- User-interface programming experience
- iPhone development experience
- Critical thinker with the ability to demystify complex requirements
- Excellent personal presence with proven ability to work with all levels of management internally and externally
- Highly motivated and dependable with exceptional communication skills
- A self-starter that relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish individual and team goals
